The Ethan Drake urban fantasy series continues unabated with the release of book five, Hell Patrol. In this book, you guessed it, Ethan Drake goes to Hell on a mission to mug Lucifer and free his daughter’s soul. But as usual with Ethan, there’s much more to the story, and things don’t go according to plan.
I enjoyed writing this book. It came easy, which is maybe why there is so much dark–very dark–humor in it. The banter especially between Pike and Haedemus I enjoyed writing. They riff off of each other very well.
Anyway, here’s the blurb, and don’t forget to click the link at the end of the post to get your copy of the book:
So itās finally happened. Iām going to Hell. Some would argue, including me, that it was inevitable. But Iām not going to Hell to be punishedāat least not yetābut to save my daughterās soul.
Wendell Knightsbridge has me over a barrel. If I want to save Callieās soul, I have to go to Hell for him, and once Iām there, I have to find Lucifer and somehow steal the Devilās energy to send back to Knightsbridge. Iām sure itāll be a snap, like taking candy from a baby. Yeah right.
But before I try to mug the Devil, I have to negotiate the travails of Hell in all its horrific glory, and while Iām down there, rescue the necromancer, Richard Solomon, from the clutches of the sinister Hell Priests. Embarking on this hell patrol with me is Eric Pike, Haedemus, and Hannah, who has to become Xaglath to lead us on this nightmare journey, which will take us to Hellās capital, Pandemonium, and the Demon Lord who runs it.
One thingās for sure. If I ever make it back, Iāll never take my world for granted againā¦and Knightsbridge will know my wrath.
In the meantime, Hell awaitsā¦
